Hogan CPA Firm

Sarah Hogan, CPA · Gulf Breeze, Florida
Identity, design, copy, and build

Sarah Hogan spent eighteen years on the client side of finance before opening her own firm on the Florida panhandle. People arrive at her door carrying real anxiety about taxes and the IRS. Her practice is built on turning that fear into something a person can understand and plan around.

Every one of these projects starts with the same question: why do you do what you do? Somewhere in Sarah’s answer she said, I’m in your back pocket. That line became the site. The headline is hers, the hero is a text thread with Sarah on the other end, and the whole page is built around the feeling of having an expert within reach.

The services section: tax services, business and bookkeeping, fractional CFO, and MDL litigation support

A CPA is chosen on trust, and the mark of that trust is a signature. It is the thing she puts on every return she stands behind. So her signature became the identity. When the site loads for the first time, the signature draws itself stroke by stroke in the order she actually writes it, then settles into the corner of the page and stays there as the logo.

The rest of the site keeps that promise of calm. The purple came out of that first call too, a guess at who she was that turned out to be her favorite color. The copy is written in her voice, plainly, about the fear people bring her and what she does with it. Nothing on the page raises the reader’s pulse, which for a tax practice is the entire job.
